$1,500 Energy Upgrade Tax Credit: Consumers who purchase and install specific products, such as energy-efficient windows, insulation, doors, roofs, and heating and cooling equipment in existing homes can receive a tax credit for 30% of the cost, up to $1,500, for improvements “placed in service” starting January 1, 2009, through December 31, 2010. $200 to $1000 for Allegheny Power Customers: PA Home Energy will be providing a modest financial incentive to the Pennsylvania residents whose electric service is provided by Allegheny Power. Financial incentives range from $200 to $1,000. The amount of the incentive is determined by the amount of energy saved during the home energy improvement.
